Alaruk is an Earth-like planet with three moons. Because the average temperature is on the warmer side, storms and erratic weather is very common, making it difficult to permanently settle in most areas. Fuglans have adapted to migration or semi-migration, and inhabiting specific biomes that their tribes have evolved to specialize in.

Sridez Island is an atoll to the southeast of the main continent, and home of the Nuek and Sivate clans. The lagoon in the center gives sea fuglans a save haven to fish and farm kelp, while forest fulgans make home in the comfort of the island's trees and bamboo.

A favorite place to trade among sea fuglans, Hulerin is one of the largest desert fuglan settlements on Alaruk. While most desert fuglan clans prefer to migrate yearly, the Naku clan has built homes around a natural oasis along a peninsula on the southeast side of the continent, taking advantage of the local fruit trees, spices, and fishing spots nearby. Some members of the Naku clan still prefer to migrate during the dry season, hunting wild kariags and harvesting cactus fruits in the north, and return to Hulerin during the wet season.

Hatanurin, a village near the Sand Sea, is home to many aslauk fuglans, mostly desert and sea hybrids. Desert fuglans may pass by here on a trade route during the dry season.

Lastly, the underground village of Derunerin is tucked away near the northeast mountain. These caves are inhabited solely by the reclusive Ralukah clan, cave fuglans who rarely see the light of day.
